The heavy phyle are clad in a reinforced version of the standard phyle armor. While this does provide additional protection to the wearer the primary function of the armor is to provide resistance against recoil of the heavier weapons they wield. The actuators in the armor allow the user to accurately track and release a hail of punishing fire from their  heavy weapons.

The most esteemed Polemarchs that serve His Highness King Leonidatus and granted access to the Cyber Stallion manufactories. Each Polemarch is assisted by humble engineers in creating the ideal mechanical companion that will bear him into battle.  As a result, no two cyber stallions are alike and their differing personalities reflect this. 

With the machine constructed and powered, the Polemarch engages in one of the Sons of Spartania's most sacred rituals. Despite the Polemarch being its creator and master, the Stallion still must be broken in. In this dance between man and machine one of two events will occur:  the stallion will submit to its masters control and become the ideal warmount, or the Stallion will rebuke the warrior's efforts. Polemarchs are permitted three attempts to control their creation; should they fail after the final attempt the Cyber Stallion's machine soul is deemed 'too volatile' to serve in active combat and their components are melted down to be used in the creation of future mounts. For the Polemarch however, failure to break in the mechanical beast will result in a stain on their honor, and many do not reattempt the ritual for several centuries until they consider themselves strong enough to try again. 

For those that do succeed, they gain a companion for life that will bear them headlong into the endless battles that the pair will face.

Despite its status as an eons old civilization, the Teknops empire is not bound to tradition like many of the lesser races and fully embraces progress and evolution with regards to technology. Many scholars believe that had the Teknops not been asleep for centuries then any advancements they would have made in that time would surely have led to their domination of the entire galaxy. That being said, the arachnomancers have been working tirelessly to make up for lost time, and their newest creation, the Scaraptekh, is a juggernaut of destruction. 

On rare occasions, Teknops Archprinces can have their consciousness redownloaded into the experimental Scaraptekh Lord Chassis. This version of the Scaraptekh is much larger and is equipped with a second set of wings and an additional ranged weapon. These additional upgrades coupled with the battle experience of the Archprince makes the Scaraptekh Lord a sessioned commander and deadly foe.

Scaraptekhs stalk the battlefield on three legged chassis and have been seen using crystalline wings protected by a hardened elytra to glide over the battlefield. With this quick form of transportation available to them, Scaraptekhs are usually found where the fighting is the fiercest and use their devastating weaponry to cull their enemies. Terrifyingly enough, Scarptekhs frequently hunt in packs of three or more to maximize their efficiency and protect each other in combat making them even harder to defeat in combat.

On the rare occasion when the Overpharaoh must join the fray and assist the Star Pharaohs in person rather than committing his magnificent calculative mind to the logistics of war, there are no troops better equipped to secure his person than the Medjay Pharaohguards.

Typically, most Star Pharaohs can be found wearing the death masks of the Makers, so as never to forget the faces of their hated creators. However, the Medjay Pharaohguards play such an important role that they bear the distinct honor of wearing the mask of the Dreamwalker, one of the six crystalline divines of the Star Pharaohs. Just as the Dreamwalker strides the line between dreams and reality, the Medjay Pharaohguards stand rigidly at the border between life and death for the all-important Overpharaoh. Fiercely bearing Hexphase Khopeshes, Repulsor Shields, and Hexphase Warscythes, the Medjay Pharaohguards will make any thinking of charging the Overpharaoh think twice, or never think again.

Medjay Pharaohguards have a huge combination of poses with 10 sets of legs, 5 poses for the 2 types of loadouts, and 2 types of heads. Makes a great HQ guard proxy for 28mm scifi wargaming.
